Starting April 7, vaccination clinics at fairgrounds need to be accessed from 23rd Street and O'Connell Road

Saturday, April 3, 2021 - 8:00am

Beginning Monday, April 5, Douglas County District Court will start using the Douglas County Fairgrounds for court proceedings. District Court will be using Flory Meeting Hall and Building 21, which should be accessed from Harper Street.

Unified Command partners will be changing the traffic pattern for the mass vaccination clinics at the fairgrounds beginning with the next one scheduled on Wednesday, April 7. Anyone with an appointment should enter the fairgrounds by turning north at the intersection of 23rd Street and O’Connell Road. Those with an appointment will receive directions about how to get to the clinic. The drive-through vaccination clinics are held in the Community Indoor Arena & Open Pavilion.

Signage will be displayed in the area beginning April 5 to note routes for District Court proceedings and the vaccination clinics. Local law enforcement and Douglas County Emergency Management staff and volunteers will help direct traffic.
