Douglas County Plans Information Sessions for Residents on Mental Health, Jail

Lawrence, KS, March 20, 2018 — Douglas County has announced a series of four information sessions open to the public to learn more about the ballot initiative to expand mental health services and improve the jail.

County Commissioners, jail staff, health partners and other experts will present the facts about the proposed half-cent sales tax and field questions from the audience.

Douglas County residents are encouraged to attend one of the sessions to learn more and make an informed decision. Residents can also learn more about the ballot initiative on the website at www.douglascountyks.org and through social media on Facebook and Twitter @douglascountyks.
